A Bit About Us

Barnett Custom Homes is a custom home builder that specializes in new construction, renovations and additions that  is located in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. 

Greg Barnett, founder and president comes from a long lineage of home builders. 

Shortly after World War II, Greg’s grandfather and great uncles, began the tradition by building communities in central Connecticut. This lasted for many years and as a youth, David Barrnett, took an interest to the family business and learned “tools of the trade” and started his own homebuilding company.  This is where Greg was raised and would help on his fathers jobsites after school and on weekends.

Upon leaving Chicago in 2001 for Florida. His professional experience included starting a residential arm for a developer/commercial contractor.  During his time with the company, they were listed as Jacksonville’s 50 fastest growing companies 4 of his 5 years and also made the INC5000 list. With over 20 years experience in custom residential construction, he has both the hands on training and understanding of the constructability of delivering exactly what the client has requested.

As a local of Jacksonville Beach, Greg lives with his wife Laura and three children Jordan, Jillian, and Jack and two dogs, Sandy and Buddy. In his spare time Greg enjoys surfing, spending time with his family and friends, and being an active leader at his church. In the past Greg has served as President of the Young Professional chapter of Habitat for Humanity, enjoys giving back to the Jacksonville community.
